Job Title: Social Media Manager

General Description:

The Social Media Manager is responsible for developing and executing social media strategies across multiple channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.), overseeing execution for brand initiatives that integrate into business plans and marketing campaigns. This role is aimed at generating brand awareness, increasing customer engagement, growing social communities and achieving sales objectives. Demonstrating advanced knowledge of paid social execution and analysis, the position owns execution of pull levers in social channels for engagement vs. direct response and best in class ways to engage and grow a passionate audience of Life Extension enthusiasts.
Additionally, this leader is responsible for championing new approaches and tactics by contributing to the enterprise-wide digital strategies and new approaches to customer lifecycle. This includes team leadership in social strategies, launching test and learn campaigns, sharing results and building understanding and support of best practices in social media for the organization.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

Hands-on leadership of program plans throughout planning, execution, and recap phases, including KPI-based analysis
Responsible for analyzing program performance, optimizing program with strategic recommendations, insights and sharing results with stakeholders.
Create engaging campaigns for Life Extension’s social channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, etc., ensuring the brand remains a top-of-mind source of inspiration
Contribute to the brand’s Social Editorial Calendar in partnership with the Social Media Content & Community Specialists
Work with E-commerce Manager to develop and execute a strategic vision for Life Extension’s approach to social media, tailored to each channel
Leverage social data to measure performance and inform social team in real-time; Apply data-driven insights to optimize and inform overall social media strategy
Work with cross-functional partners in marketing and product development to support key brand initiatives on branded social channels.
Work collaboratively with Paid Search Strategist to provide guidance for paid social acquisition campaigns.
Research trends, opportunities, influencers, and other factors that affect the social media programs
Regular onsite attendance is an essential function of this position
Perform other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

5+ years of social media experience working on a brand with broad reach (1M+)
Demonstrated ability to build social media campaigns from the ground up, defining strategy, workflow, and execution as well as making business case for essential budget needs
Proven track record developing program plans that meet/exceed goals and managing program budgets
Experience leading and developing junior team
Demonstrated history as a working manager
Exceptional writing skills, paying close attention to detail, grammar and tone
Experience with social media management tools (Awe.sm, Hootsuite, ShortStack, SocialFlow, Sprout Social, Tweepi, etc.)
Understanding of consumer behavior and applying insights to daily interactions with customers to drive traffic and sales.
Demonstrate a keen understanding of social analytics and experience creating data-driven reports
Flexible and a creative self-starter who is able to work within an entrepreneurial environment and support multiple projects at once
Strong time-management skills and are able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of cross-functional/collaborative environment
